Sources of Income
Early Connections Learning Centers is a 501 (c) (3) not-for-profit organization. We receive income from a variety of sources including:
- Parent fees: We use a sliding fee scale based on income to determine weekly fees.

- Private foundation grants: We receive grants from local, state and national foundations.
- Pikes Peak United Way: We have been a United Way Partner Agency since 1922 and receive income from the Pikes Peak United Way Community Fund, through individual designations and from the Child Care Fund.
- Endowment: Early Connections receives income from the endowment on a quarterly basis. The Child Nursery Centers Foundation was created to oversee management of the endowment.
- Annual giving campaign: Our annual campaign, Share a Future, solicits donations from individuals and companies.
- Legacy & Vision: Our Women’s Giving Circle is a generous and dedicated group of women philanthropists who donate $1,000 or more annually to Early Connections. Members have the opportunity to participate in three events each year, including one event involving classroom activities with our children.
- Events: Gingerbread & Jazz: Our major fundraising event is held annually the second Saturday in November at the Historic Day Nursery.
- Partnerships and Collaborations: We receive financial support through reimbursements or in-kind donations from Community Partnership for Child Development/Head Start; Colorado School District 11/Colorado Pre-school Program, and Harrison School District Two.
