Nutrition and Health

At Early Connections Learning Centers, we know that healthy, properly-nourished children area ready to learn and thrive.

Nutrition:  We serve a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack at all our Centers daily. These meals exceed the daily nutritional requirements of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)

Meals are prepared on-site and served family-style with a teacher seated with the children. Teachers provide role modeling for the children which is essential to the development of healthy eating habits and positive attitudes toward nutrition.

Health:  Our medical staff tracks immunizations, physicals, and maintains complete health records for children.  Our Family Services staff refers parents to medical and dental assistance in the community.  All classroom staff receive training in First Aid, CPR and Universal Precautions.

Get Well Center:  Our Get Well Center, located at the Historic Day Nursery, offers care for mildly-ill children enrolled at all Early Connections locations. This allows parents to go to work or school while our medical staff is monitoring and providing TLC for their sick child. Parents are more productive at work, confident that their child is being cared for in a safe and nurturing environment.
