Volunteers will engage in a variety of events throughout the year in support of our mission to provide high quality, comprehensive early care and education for ALL Children. Please see some of our key positions below. We often have staff request specific positions, and frequently update this page so please check back. Additionally, we encourage volunteers to share ideas of how their talents and skills may compliment Early Connections Learning Centers.
Individual and Group Opportunities
Classroom Volunteer We need both indirect and direct support in our classrooms. Indirect support duties may include but are not limited to: changing bulletin boards, making photo copies, sorting & organizing, conduct research on upcoming lessons, etc. Direct support duties include, but are not limited to: reading to children, homework support, help children who need remedial support, play board games, listen to children read, etc.
Corporate Volunteer Corporate volunteers will support the overall management of Early Connections Learning Centers. He or she will support at the Corporate Offices (Day Nursey Location) to advance the capacity in which our corporate team operates. Duties may include but are not limited to: filing paperwork, answering phones, data entry, assembling enrollment kits, stuffing envelopes, etc.
Group Opportunities We offer volunteer opportunities for groups of 5-15 individuals at most of our locations. Group projects include, playground restoration, making playdough, painting, supporting with family nights, etc. To inquire about a group opportunity please click here to fill out the group application form.
All volunteers are subject to a Level 1 and Level 2 background check.
How to Apply
Most opportunities require you to be 16 years or older. Opportunities are available Monday through Friday 7:00 am – 6:00 pm. Weekend opportunities are available. Please email the Volunteer Program Specialist if you have a weekend request. Agroves@earlyconnections.org
To inquire about volunteering please click here. All applicants MUST submit a waiver prior to volunteering. All volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent or guardian sign the waiver as well.
