Dear Colorado Springs,
My heartfelt, deepest thanks. We would not be able to be here for children during this crisis, if not for you. You believe in a better world for children. Where all children have access to high quality education, food and medical care. Where families are supported and empowered to give their children the brightest future possible. This is what inspires you to change children’s lives. And this-this is what we are doing together.
For 123-years, Early Connections has been a safe place for children and our doors remain open because of you. You’ve generously responded with donations to address COVID-19 critical needs. You’ve helped ensure new classroom supplies are available to set up emergency classroom space for school age children. You’ve kept our teachers in your hearts by sharing notes of encouragement to lift their spirits during this challenging time.
This time of uncertainty can easily lead to hopelessness and fear, but it can also remind us of how important our community is, how we are stronger together. As a champion for our children and investor in our programs, you know that now more than ever, a strong and thriving child care system is vital.
This crisis has demanded new levels of innovation to ensure our doors remain open to provide critical services. However, times like this require the extraordinary and the decision to remain open for families was simple. Early Connections is a lifeline for children and families during these uncertain times. The services we provide are not a privilege, but a necessity.
Thank you for your ongoing support of our children and families; it is needed now more than ever. While much remains uncertain, Early Connections’ commitment to deliver high quality education to hundreds of children and their families is unwavering.
If there are other ways you’d like to continue to support our families and teachers during this time, we’d love to hear from you. I couldn’t be more inspired by the generosity of our community and the continued offers to help. I am truly grateful for your support of Early Connections. You are making an incredible difference.
