Healthy Habits Start Early
At Early Connections Learning Centers, we know that healthy, properly-nourished children are ready to learn and thrive.
Nutrition
We serve a nutritious breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack at all of our Centers daily. These meals exceed the daily nutritional requirements of the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Our menus emphasize fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and minimize processed foods. We serve hormone-free milk and meals with many organically sourced ingredients. Mealtime is designed to be pleasant and relaxed. Meals are served family-style with a teacher seated with the children. By serving nourishing food healthfully prepared, we introduce children to a variety of nutritious foods and help establish good eating habits that will last a lifetime.
Health
Our medical staff tracks immunizations, physicals and maintains complete health records for all children and can refer parents to medical and dental assistance in the community. All classroom staff are certified in First Aid, CPR and Universal Precautions. Each day in the classroom, all children brush their teeth and infant’s gums are cleaned after feeding. Through our partnership with Peak Vista’s Ronald McDonald Care Mobile, free medical services like physicals and immunizations are provided throughout the year.

In addition to these physical health supports, we also provide behavioral health services to our children and families. Our team of Behavioral Health Specialists provides additional support to children and families experiencing challenging behaviors. These experts work individually with children and families to teach strategies and solutions to build continuity of successful methods between classroom and home.
