Who or what inspired you to become a teacher?
My 4th grade teacher inspired me to become a teacher because she encouraged me in all that I did and cared about me and what I was interested in. In addition, she always took time to help me and to invest in me. Finally, she allowed me to help her out in the classroom after school with bulletin boards and other things that she needed to do when I was waiting for my parents or the after school activity I was in started.
My best day in the classroom was when…
I did an exploding emotions activity with the children. They enjoyed getting to watch what happened when we mixed food coloring, vinegar and baking soda together. Each child that came over to the activity were actively engaged and so excited to do the activity.
If you could have one teacher superpower what would it be?
Flight, so I could fly anywhere I go and can easily get around to all the areas where the children are playing.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
In my spare time I enjoy knitting, hiking, watching movies and shopping.
What is your favorite food? Pizza
What is your favorite book? Fear No Evil by Brady Boyd
