Who or what inspired you to become a teacher?
I have always loved children. Growing up my family would constantly tell me I should be a teacher. My mom brought it up more than others and would tell me I was meant to teach. I agreed to take an Early Childhood course and fell in love with teaching. My mom was right!

My best day in the classroom was when…
My favorite days are when the children make a connection with our Storybook Journey and you can see that connection strengthen and evolve throughout the day. I also love the days when our community in the classroom is so strong that everyone can feel the love.

If you could have one teacher superpower what would it be?
To positively impact as many children’s lives as possible each day, which is something I strive for everyday.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
I enjoy going on hikes, camping, concerts and making crafts. Mostly I love spending time with my family.

What else would you like to share about yourself or profession?
I am a strong believer that every child learns differently. To reach each child and their learning styles I incorporate multiple styles in as many lessons and activities as possible. I love growing and learning in life and in my profession. I’m currently working towards my Masters in Educational Psychology!
