Years Teaching: 10 years
Who or what inspired you to become a teacher? I took a job at a child care center when I was 18 out of desperation and ended up falling in love with my group of kids and seeing the impact that I made, I wanted to inspire children for the rest of my life.
My best day in the classroom was when…. A child came back after taking a long leave. She gave me the biggest hug and told me she loved me. Her mom said the week before she asked her mom if I remembered her.
If you could have one teacher superpower what would it be? More hands for hugging!
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? Scrapbooking, listening to music, playing with my own children.
What else would you like to share about yourself or profession? I love music and art and teaching children through these outlets has changed my life!
What is your favorite food? Fajitas
What is your favorite book? The Perks of Being a Wallflower
