Who or what inspired you to become a teacher? My mother was a teacher and the passion she had for her students inspired me to get into the education field. Her students always looked up to her and I wanted to one day be able to give children the love and admiration they all deserve.
My best day in the classroom was when…. Every day! I can’t possibly choose just one day. Each and every day something special happens whether it is a child saying a new word, or experiencing something new for the first time. My kids teach me something about myself daily and I am constantly learning about them as well. My kids have a TON of fun when we use bubbles, paint with our feet, get our hands messy when we do our cooking projects, or use spray bottles outside when it’s warm.
If you could have one teacher superpower what would it be? I would love to be able to have ALL of my kids sit in my lap during story time. To share that special bonding moment with all 8 of my kids at once would be amazing.
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time? I enjoy going on hikes with my boyfriend Daniel and our two dogs Theo and Tucker. I have a passion for working out and doing anything that keeps my body healthy! I love to make homemade face scrubs/masks for myself, friends and family.
What else would you like to share about yourself or profession? I am from Springfield, MO and moved here May 2017. My boyfriend Daniel and I moved out here because we knew there was more out there. I have been so blessed to live in Colorado Springs and find Early Connections Learning Centers. It truly is the best place I have ever worked and I plan on staying here for a very long time! I love my kiddos, families, and co-workers.
What is your favorite food? Chinese food from the food court! I also LOVE Imo’s Pizza- if you ever visit St. Louis, MO you HAVE to stop in and get some!
What is your favorite book? The Twilight Series; I’m a sucker for all of their books and the movies too! Team Edward all the way.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
