Read Across America Day
Through engaging stories, high quality books, and cozy reading spaces, we help spark a lifelong love of reading while building empathy, curiosity, and critical thinking skills.
Read Across America
Each year, Early Connections proudly participates in Read Across America, a national celebration of literacy. We will celebrate Read Across America on March 6, 2026, by welcoming community leaders into our classrooms to read with children and share the joy of books. Leading up to March 6, there are many ways to get involved and support young readers in our community.
Purchase Books
Purchase a book to support Early Connections’ Books-at-Home Program, ensuring children receive books they can keep, cherish, and build their home libraries with. Every book purchased goes directly into the hands of a child.
Together, we can ignite a passion for reading and open doors to a brighter future.
Make a donation
Support Early Connections’ literacy programming and help spark a lifelong love of reading. All donations up to $10,000 will be matched through Sandy’s Challenge, doubling your impact for children and families.
read with us
Commit to reading in one of our classrooms on a regular basis. Sharing stories with children builds connection, confidence, and joy — and shows young learners that their community cares about their love of reading.
Inspiring others with a gift from the heart
Every child deserves the magic of books – the joy of turning pages, discovering new worlds, and building a lifelong love of learning. From February 14th to March 14th, Sandy’s Challenge will match every donation (up to $10,000!), doubling the power of your gift to provide books and early literacy tools to young children.
$10,000 matching donation
Together, we can ignite a passion for reading and open doors to a brighter future. Join us in honoring Sandy Jaray’s legacy and make twice the difference today!
