A giving circle of extraordinary women driven by a shared purpose: to uplift children and families through collective giving, compassion, and action
The Legacy & Vision Women’s Giving Circle was formed in 2000 in response to a deep desire for women to collectively make a long-term, positive impact in the lives of children and families in Colorado Springs. The work of visionary leader and philanthropist Alice Bemis Taylor (1877-1942) served as inspiration, as she collaborated with other women in the community to establish significant cultural and social institutions, including Early Connections Learning Centers (est. 1897, then called the Colorado Springs Day Nursery). Alice was a mover and a shaker who cared deeply and sought creative solutions to ensure a bold and bright future for her community.
The work continues. Our community continues to grow, and so does this group of extraordinary women marked by collective determination, compassion, and the unwavering belief that empowered women can empower their community for generations.
intentional giving
Each member of our giving circle makes an intentional annual gift of $1,000+ to Legacy & Vision. When you support a cause close to your heart with time, money, and social influence, you are engaged in the art of intentional giving. Our goal is to raise funds that provide children opportunities to engage with our community, build friendships, and participate in activities that reinforce skills that will serve them for the rest of their life.

- Access to a robust library of high quality and diverse children’s books
- Trying a wide variety of fruits and veggies as healthy breakfast, lunch, and snack options
- Classroom and center celebrations where families are welcomed to share a treat and enjoy a fun and educational activity
